Movie Night in the Garden: The End of the Line

Filmed by Charles Clover, this film raises many concerns about the seafood industry. We see the effects of overfishing in many areas of the world, the result of which is near-extinction of once common species such as the bluefin tuna.
Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue = Fair Trade Town!
Come celebrate with the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on becoming Quebec's second Certified Fair Trade Town. The city will be officially launching this initiative at the farmer's market by offering free fair trade coffee (Santropol coffee from the Coop!) & promoting awareness of the principles of Fair Trade. The Co-op salutes them for this initiative & will be present for the event as an advocate and supplier of fair trade products.
Knitting night
Come and let the creative juices flow with our bi-monthly knitting group, whether you are a seasoned crafter, or just enjoy a good yarn. No experience necessary, all levels welcome. Runs from 7-8 pm.
Plant Identification Workshop
Martina Hoft invites you to l’Anse-à-l’Orme woods to discover and identify the native plants of this region. Interested participants can meet at the Co-op at 9:30 a.m., where Harry will lead them by bicycle to the workshop, or alternatively, they can meet at the corner of Meloche St. and Boul. D’Aoust (in Ste-Anne North) where Martina will be waiting. Bring rubber boots & mosquito repellent (without DEET please)!
