Eating healthy and local will become a whole lot easier in Ste Anne this summer. Co-op du Grand Orme, Ferme du Zephyr and Ferme Carya are pleased to announce the launch of the 2010 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program with weekly deliveries of delicious organic and local vegetables to the Co-op. The basket deliveries start in mid-June and run to end of October, 2010. Ferme du Zephyr is located 10 minutes away in nearby Senneville has been growing certified organic vegetables for 13 years. The farm grows one of the largest selection of organic vegetables in Quebec, ranging from traditional favorites like Butternut squash, cabbage and beefsteak tomatoes to exotics like arugula, sugar snap peas, and yellow, green, purple and black heirloom tomatoes.

CSA is much more than organic vegetables... it's supporting our local economy, it's preserving and protecting important local agricultural land and it's helping to ensure a healthier environment for all. It's also a direct link between the farmer and the consumers. Like last year, la Ferme du Zéphyr will also be offering organic heritage plant seedlings at the Co-op this spring to supply your garden needs.
